Emergency services are still trying to recover a man's body from a truck cab on a steep riverbank after a fatal crash in the Manawatu Gorge early today. The truck, travelling from Palmerston North to Woodville about 12.15am, crashed through a side barrier and went over the edge. The trailer landed in the Manawatu River and the truck cab came to rest upside down on the rocks near the bottom of the 30-metre bank.
